Youth Development Worker
Eric was impacted by some good youth workers in his teens, so in turn has become a passionate youth worker for the last 10 years.
He attended bible college and initially started as a church based youth worker, but that then led to more community based youth work. Eric is very passionate about weaving the two together; having a foot in both, seeing more of that relationship. He totally believes in the adage “It takes a village to raise a child”, the more things, people, and ways we engage/support a young person the better!
In 2011 Eric got married to Anna, whangai/fostered Sione (now 11 years old) in 2015 then had their first girl Elsie in 2016, and have just had another boy Caleb in 2018.
Eric enjoys fishing, rugby, anything outdoors and sports (except cricket)! He also enjoys doing a little bit of wood carving and is part of a group under the Baptist Union called Urban Neighbours of Hope (UNOH).
